about us

Sukoun: Is stillness, to be in a state of calm and tranquility. To take a moment to retreat and be yourself, allowing presence of the senses and of the heart in quiet sanctuary.

Sukoun is not only a collection of items; it is a sensory experience, a lifestyle. From the soft fabric of the mat beneath your feet, the padding welcoming your forehead as you prostrate in prayer, to the vibrant colors of the dishes of your choosing, the provocative and unexpected combinations of fabrics and array of colors, the comforting scent of the lavender sachet on your hanger.. each and every item will bring your senses to life, elevating your presence.

Sukoun is a creative initiative aimed at supporting local artisans, women empowerment organizations and entrepreneurs.

The Women behind the Clay

The Iraq Al Amir women’s cooperative Association aims to make women financially independent and to raise their standard of living by increasing their income and preserving local heritage.

The Seamstresses

Dar Al Rahma initiative was founded in 2016. The women behind it have taken the craft of sewing as a means to empower Syrian and Iraqi refugee women in their community.

All products are locally made with lots of love.
